Preparing For Your Primary Education Interview

Congratulations on qualifying for interview with RCTTP! Some preparation is required for your interview, so please read the information below carefully as soon as possible to avoid being unprepared.

Primary Lesson Planning Task

Please note you will be talking through your lesson – not delivering it 

Choose one of the tasks below and plan a 15 minute lesson: 

Choose a favourite possession that you could use as a hook for learning - what aspect of the primary curriculum could it introduce and how would it inspire the children? 

OR 

A favourite book - what aspect of the primary curriculum could it introduce and how might it inspire the children? 

You should use the plan to identify how you would structure the learning along with how you would engage and enthuse the pupils.  You also need to show your imagination and passion for teaching young people. 

Please note - the task should be prepared using the Year 3 curriculum covering a range of abilities. You should prepare and email your plan to the contact in the instruction email.

  5. Do some research around safeguarding procedures in schools.
